Evidence Over Guesswork
Worthmerald was built for investors who want their strategies tested against real market history before a single rupee is put to work.
Why We Started
Too many investment decisions in India are still made on gut feel, tips from friends, or headlines that fade by the next quarter. We started Worthmerald to give investors a more disciplined starting point: a way to see how a strategy would have actually performed across past market cycles before committing capital to it.
Rather than promising predictions, we focus on structured backtesting — running strategies against historical data so investors can make decisions grounded in evidence rather than assumption.
Making Strategy Testing Accessible
Our mission is straightforward: give Indian investors the tools to evaluate a strategy's historical behaviour before they rely on it. We believe that access to rigorous backtesting shouldn't be limited to institutional desks and quant funds — it should be available to anyone who wants to invest more deliberately.
We are not in the business of predicting the future. We are in the business of helping people understand the past with enough clarity to make better-informed choices going forward.
Our Values
Transparency
We show how our backtests are constructed, including their assumptions and limitations, rather than presenting results as absolute guarantees.
Rigor
Every strategy analysis is run against structured historical data. We favor careful methodology over shortcuts that inflate confidence.
Accessibility
Strategy testing tools shouldn't be reserved for institutions. We build for individual investors seeking the same analytical discipline.
Who's Behind Worthmerald
Worthmerald is built by a small, focused team with backgrounds spanning financial analysis, software engineering, and data science. We share a common frustration with investment tools that prioritize flashy predictions over sound methodology, and a common belief that better data access leads to better decisions.
We work closely together to refine our backtesting engine, improve data quality, and make strategy analysis easier to understand for investors who aren't quants themselves.
Our team's focus: building analysis tools rooted in historical market data, not speculation.
